Dr. Faust discussed her book recently on NPR's Fresh Air. Fascinating and thoughtful interview. Through your presentation and participating in EfM, this idea of what all is "part of the package" of creation has been something that has been with me for a while. I have found that looking at all these things that we humans label as bad (death, natural disaster, disease, etc.) as part of creation to be very helpful. I set those apart from the things that are man made, and to me part of "the fall", things such as war, racism, homophobia, gangs, etc. Then there are those items that I am not sure where they fall. For me, I am not sure if poverty and drugs are things that are part of creation or man made.

Additionally, my belief is that science and spirtuality can, and should, be seen as complimentary. The goal of science is to understand the rules of creation, and spirituality is how we live righteously in creation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
